A Tulsa chiropractic clinic with a medical wellness practice under the same roof.
“No rush jobs here, just whatever it takes to get you better.”
Jim M., Google reviewEastern Oklahoma Wellness & Chiropractic Center is a chiropractic clinic on South Mingo Road in Tulsa that also runs a medical wellness practice out of the same office. Three chiropractors and a nurse practitioner work here. That combination is the reason most of our patients end up staying.
A patient usually arrives because something hurts. Their lower back has been bad for months, they woke up unable to turn their neck, or they were rear-ended on the Broken Arrow Expressway and the stiffness set in two days later. The first visit is an exam and a conversation, not a treatment plan handed to you at the door. We work out what is actually causing the problem, explain what we found without the jargon, and say plainly whether chiropractic is the right tool for it.
Sometimes it is not. When a condition needs imaging, medication or a specialist, we refer out. We would rather send you to the right provider than treat you for six weeks and watch nothing change.
Most of what walks through the door is spinal: low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, headaches that start at the base of the skull, and the stiffness and soft tissue damage that follows a collision. Alongside the hands-on work we run computerised spinal decompression for disc-related pain and offer massage therapy, which loosens the muscle guarding that otherwise pulls a joint straight back out of position.
The wellness side of the practice grew out of what patients kept asking for. Adults who came in for their back wanted somewhere to have their labs run, their hormones looked at, or a serious conversation about weight. That work is now a real part of the clinic rather than a sideline, and it is run by a nurse practitioner rather than bolted on to chiropractic care.
We treat infants, children, expecting mothers, working adults and seniors. Pediatric and prenatal work uses specific low-force techniques, not a smaller version of an adult adjustment.
Our nurse practitioner handles adult primary care, hormone work, weight management and injections. If your back pain turns out to be tangled up with your sleep, your thyroid or a vitamin deficiency, the person who can look into that is down the hall.
The comment patients leave most often is about not feeling rushed. That is deliberate. A ten minute visit is enough to crack a joint and not enough to fix a problem.
We work alongside other providers and refer patients out when a condition calls for imaging, medication or a specialist. Care that is not helping gets changed or stopped, not extended.
The clinic is at 8165 S. Mingo Road, Suite 200, in south Tulsa near 81st Street. That location puts us within a short drive of Bixby, Jenks and Broken Arrow, and we regularly see patients from Owasso and Sapulpa as well.
Our hours are built around a working week. We are open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 1pm and again from 3pm to 6pm, and Friday mornings from 9am to 11am. No referral is needed to be seen, and we accept insurance, auto and third-party liability claims after a collision, and CareCredit for care a plan does not cover.
More on what sets the clinic apart is on our why choose EOWC page, the communities we cover are listed under areas we serve, and the questions patients ask most are answered on our FAQ page.
If you are weighing up whether to come in, call 918-615-3433 and describe what is going on. We will tell you whether this is something we treat.
