Serving Sapulpa from south Tulsa

Sapulpa lies south west of us, and the Creek Turnpike is the practical route: east across the river and on to the Mingo Road exit. It is the longest of the trips our regular patients make, which is why Sapulpa patients tend to book fewer, longer visits rather than frequent short ones, and we build treatment plans accordingly.

Sapulpa is the county seat of Creek County and extends partly into Tulsa County, with a population of 21,929 at the 2020 census. Route 66 runs through the town, and its preserved main street is part of why it draws visitors off the old highway. Sapulpa has a long industrial history, glass manufacturing in particular, and that heritage still shapes the local employment base.

What we see from Sapulpa

Sapulpa has a more industrial and trades-weighted workforce than the suburbs east of Tulsa, and the injuries reflect that. Manufacturing, warehouse and construction work produce lifting injuries, sustained standing complaints, shoulder problems and the cumulative low back wear that comes from decades of physical work. That kind of long-standing pain often responds better to a plan that combines decompression with joint and soft tissue work than to adjustment alone.

The Turner Turnpike and the Creek Turnpike both carry heavy traffic near Sapulpa, and collision injuries from those roads are part of what we treat.

Getting here from Sapulpa

The Creek Turnpike east to the Mingo Road exit is the most direct route. From central Sapulpa, taking Route 66 or Highway 117 to the turnpike is usually quicker than the surface roads through west Tulsa. Given the distance, call ahead and we will try to group your treatment into fewer visits where the clinical plan allows.

Why patients travel to us

The reason most often given is time. The comment that appears in our reviews is about not being rushed, and that is deliberate rather than incidental: a ten minute visit is enough to move a joint and not enough to work out why it keeps going wrong. Patients from outside Tulsa are generally making a deliberate choice about where to go rather than picking the nearest option, and it is worth being the clinic that justifies the drive.

After a car accident

If you have been hurt in a collision, get examined early. Whiplash symptoms typically take a day or more to appear, and a long gap between the crash and the first appointment is what an insurer questions hardest. We bill auto insurance, third-party liability claims and letters of protection, so bring the claim number and the adjuster contact. See our auto injury page for detail.

What a first visit involves

The first appointment is a history and an examination rather than a treatment you were signed up for before you arrived. We ask what hurts, when it started, what makes it worse and what your work physically demands, then test range of motion and check the spine segment by segment. You get the findings explained in plain language, and then a plan with a rough number of visits and a description of what should change.

Sometimes the answer is that chiropractic is not the right treatment. If the examination points to something needing imaging, medication or a specialist, we say so and refer rather than starting a course of care that will not help.

Insurance and payment

We bill insurance, and what your particular plan covers varies a great deal, so call with your card before the first visit and we will help you check. CareCredit is available for treatment a plan does not cover, and we accept the major cards, cash and check. Full detail is on our insurance and payment page.
